Tippe-Jasper

William Jordan bought two parcels of land totalling 160 acres (at $1.50/acre) from the U.S. government after he arrived in Indiana. The first 80 acres was located in northern Tippecanoe County (Wabash township). He bought the second 80 acres ten years later in southern Jasper County (in Jordan township) after squatting on it for an unknown length of time.
